Caroline Newkirk
Caroline joined the Thrive team in July 2026 and serves as the Assistant Principal. She looks forward to partnering with our students, families, and staff to create a positive and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.
Before stepping into school leadership, Caroline spent eight years as a classroom teacher, teaching 2nd, 3rd, and 6th grades in both a charter school in Palm Beach County, Florida and in Douglas County, Colorado. In these roles, she worked with diverse learners, built strong relationships with students and families, and fostered a love of learning in the classroom.
In addition to her classroom experience, Caroline served for four years as a Special Education Teacher and Case Manager in Douglas County, Colorado. In this role, she collaborated closely with teachers, families, and support staff to develop meaningful Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that addressed each student's unique strengths and needs. This experience strengthened her passion for inclusive education and reinforced the importance of teamwork in helping every student achieve success.
Caroline earned her Bachelor of Arts in Pre-Law and Business Administration from Palm Beach Atlantic University and went on to earn her Master of Arts in Administrative Leadership and policy Studies as well as her Special Education Endorsement from the University of Colorado.
Recently, she relocated from Littleton, Colorado to Magnolia, Texas, with her husband and two children to be closer to family. Caroline is excited to become part of this wonderful community and is grateful for the opportunity to call Magnolia home.
